Teen Advisory Group

What is TAG?

The Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is a group of volunteers, grade 7-12, that represent Dickinson’s teens. Member of TAG attend monthly meetings to discuss issues related to teen use of Dickinson Public Library; such as activities, books, music, and movies. They also assist our library section by volunteering and assisting with programs.

Overall goals include:

  • Represent the young adults served by Dickinson Public Library
  • Educate young adults about library services and programs
  • Improve and expand the Youth Services of Dickinson Public Library 
  • Help decide what books, CDs, movies, and magazines circulate at the library
  • Inform peers of library events
  • Network with TAGs throughout the area
  • Major programs will include Teen Read Week, Banned Book Week, Teen Tech Week and Teen Summer Reading Program

Expectation of TAG members

As a member of the Teen Advisory Group (TAG), there are certain expectations and requirements. TAG members must:
  • Be enrolled in school.
  • Act respectfully.
  • Be dependable and accountable for own actions.
  • Attend TAG meetings and programs.
  • Keep track of all volunteer service hours by signing in and out when volunteering at library.
  • Have an active library card and be in good standing with the library.

Turning in Completed Application

To become a member of the Dickinson Public Library Teen Advisory Group, you will need to complete our TAG Application. You may turn in your completed application in one of three ways.
